Harvest Shares (CSA)
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a farming model based on a direct relationship between eaters (you) and growers (us). You buy a “share” of the farm before the growing season, and we grow food for you, distributing it throughout the summer and into fall. Your upfront investment helps us to buy seeds and supplies to start the farming season. Together, we share both the risks of crop failure and the rewards of a bountiful harvest. Participating in a CSA is a great way to support small, local farms and to learn how to eat seasonally. Each week, you’ll receive 6-10 different seasonal vegetables – the best and freshest of what’s available on the farm. Shares are sized to feed a veggie-loving couple or small family and typically include a mix of leafy greens, root vegetables, onions, herbs, and seasonal treats like peas, zucchini, tomatoes, cucumbers or winter squash. A few times throughout the season you’ll get to try unique items like fennel bulb, kohlrabi, or escarole – a great chance to be adventurous! We will provide some recipes with each share. Our Harvest Share CSA pickups will be every week from mid-June to mid-October, 18 weeks total. You can pick up your share at specific locations in Bainbridge, Greenfield and Chillicothe (please specify your pick-up location in the notes). Payment can be made either in full or in two installments. Accepting cash, check, Venmo (@Aimee-Gaines) and PayPal (@AimeeGaines)
