About the Event
Delicious AND nutritious - ferments have been enjoyed by cultures across the world for thousands of years. A large number of studies have demonstrated how the ideal balance and diversity of bacteria in your gut forms the foundation for physical, mental and emotional well-being. Sauerkraut, sour pickles, kimchi, kombucha... these are all a result of natural fermentation! If you are interested in learning how easy and fun it is to make these amazing, probiotic dishes, then this is the class for you.
Join fermentista, Aimee Gaines, as she shares lessons she has learned over the last several years after diving into the world of fermentation. You’ll first learn about the fundamentals of fermentation and the basic equipment you will need to get started. Then you will dive in and get hands-on experience preparing a variety of ferments, from traditional pickles to kombucha. Aimee will share some samples of her ferments and also provide a few recipes and book references so that you can hit the ground running once you get home. Then, you’ll dive into a few delicious recipes that will leave you with the confidence to try a wide variety of recipes once you get home. At the end of class, participants will get to take some of their creations home to complete the fermentation process.
Cost of the workshop will be $30/person and will require pre-registration (ticket link coming soon!)
