About the event
Beltane, also recognized as Mayday, kicks off the merry month of May! We will celebrate the fertility of spring with bonfires, feasting and dancing around the Maypole!
This is a pagan celebration, welcoming the return of the light and fruitful abundance! Don your springiest attire! Bring an offering (items such as flowers, herbs, fruits, candles, etc) for the altar. Plan to camp out (optional)! Learn about foraging for wild edibles with earth skills expert, Fern Truitt! Bring musical instruments if you have them and lets kick off our shoes and dance!
10am ~ Arrive, set up camp, place offering (hot beverages and pastries will be available)
11am - 1pm ~ Foraging for Wild Edibles with Fern (suggested donation of $XX)
1:30 - 2:30pm ~ Lunch (bring your own lunch; light snacks will be provided)
2:30pm ~ Make a spring crown, plant something, play yard games, go for a hike, hang out, etc
6pm ~ Dance around the Maypole
7pm ~ Dinner (Hearty soup and bread will be served. Pie and ice cream for dessert)!
8pm ~ Light the bonfire & watch the sunset
