About the event

The next Kettlebell and Camping weekend will take place at Fruitdale Farm and will begin on Saturday December 1st. Campers should arrive at 10:00am.

The day will start with kettlebells. New campers should expect to learn how to swing and clean their kettlebells and a basic workout set-up. Intermediate to advanced campers will learn how to snatch and press their kettlebells along with an advanced workout set-up. If you don’t have any Kettlebells and your looking to get started there will be a class set available as well. The pace will be fun and light with frequent breaks for socializing and birding (usually led by Joe and Halle). If you want to stop the kettlebell portion and go explore, you can at any time.

After the kettlebell portion, Joe Brehm will teach some fire starting techniques along with shelter building skills. If you do not already have a tent, that is fine; Joe actually encourages tarp structures due to their mobility, versatility, and low cost.

The evening will be pretty free with dinner (prepared in dutch ovens) and relaxing around the fire. If you are into critters, bring your binoculars and field guides as you will get to use them a lot throughout the day.

This event will be organized by Ryan Minney and will be completely free of charge.
